For fully opened or totally closed stop valves, gate valves are employed. They are more frequently used for water, steam, oil products, etc. rather than throttling.They are extensively used in the petroleum, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, textile, power, marine, metallurgy, and energy systems industries, among others.
Gate valves have a moving wedge that moves in response to the stem nut's movement. The wedge moves perpendicular to the flow's direction.
Gate valves typically have a minimal pressure loss when completely open and give a tight shut-off when fully closed due to their double sealing construction.
The main construction features of JLPV gate valve are following:
1.There are standard one-piece flexible wedge designs, solid wedge designs, and double wedge designs.
Standard one-piece flexible wedges are capable of recovering minor elasto-thermal expansion and deformation, ensuring constant, ideal contact with the seats and maintaining seat tightness under a variety of pressures and temperatures.
2.A seat with an integrated body or a seat that is welded to a variety of materials
The WPS protocols have been rigorously followed for welded overlay. The seat ring faces are machined, meticulously cleaned, and inspected before leaving for assembly following welding and any necessary heat treating.
3.Integrated T-head stem with top bonnet seal as well as packing seal
The stem's inherent T-head shape serves as the link to the gate. With precise tightness in the packing region and long life due to accurate dimensions and finishes, there are less fugitive emissions.
